United For Fashion 2021 -Cancer Resources

This fall, I had the opportunity to photograph the 2021 United for Fashion Luncheon at the Lerner Theatre in Elkhart. The Annual Fashion Show and Auction raises funds for Cancer Resources of Elkhart County. The organization provides resources to Cancer patients and their families in need in Elkhart County. I was honored to be considered for the event photographer by Jean Barfell who was instrumental in coordinating this very successful event. She did an amazing job. The very fashionable clothing and shopping boutique was provided by Stephenson’s of Elkhart. The hair and make up was provided by a Salon Headlines and A Cut Above Salon. My hat goes off to all the beautiful ladies who were models for the events. Many of them survivors with hearts of gold. It was joyful day photographing them and celebrating.

Cancer is certainly something that strikes home for many of us. Recently, I have lost several dear and incredible people to cancer. The losses were devastating to me. On the bright side, I have watched my parents and many friends/family members bravely navigate treatment and successfully recover. After photographing the day I had renewed hope for cancer patients knowing Elkhart County is so very fortunate to have such a generous community.
